TOYOTA KLUGER CV AUTOMATIC

Download Free Toyota Kluger CV Automatic.pdf The new Toyota Kluger is the vehicle that gives Toyota an entrant in the ever-increasing cross over market of all wheel drive sports utility vehicles in Australia. With two of the major Australian manufacturers announcing plans to introduce locally made cross over vehicles during 2004, Toyota has taken the lead and introduced the Kluger to the Australian market, which was released at the Sydney Motor Show in October 2003.

The release appears well timed, for in January 2004, Australian vehicle sales saw the biggest market growth in the Sports Utility Vehicle or SUV category. Importantly for Toyota, sales of the new Kluger models did not impact dramatically into the other market segments, people movers and mid size four wheel drives, (that Toyota have a strong market share in) or take sales away from Toyota Tarago, and Toyota Prado. The Toyota Camry wagon has been out of production since August 2002, and the Kluger will likely generate interest for buyers who still want to purchase a wagon style vehicle from Toyota.

Toyota’s strong 4WD heritage in Australia makes the Kluger well placed to be competitive in the new cross over market. The Kluger is available in three models, CV (tested), CVX and Grande. The Kluger range is powered by a 3.3 Litre quad cam V6 that produces 172kW at 5,600rpm, and 328Nm of torque at 3,600 rp m. The entry level CV and mid grade CVX have a viscous coupled centre limited slip differential and a limited slip rear differential. The Grande has electronic all wheel drive control using the electronics of its vehicle stability control, and traction control systems. Safety equipment, standard across all models include drivers and passengers airbags, ABS brakes with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist.
